There are many possible games that I could make for the project One game that I believe could make for an interesting experience is A dungeon crawler type game, This would be one that has the player endure a dark and grim fantasy dungeon. The dungeon would have a specific aesthetic, whilst there would stone walls, jail cells and perhaps a portcullis and a drawbridge there would also be hints that this dungeon has some sort of magical power which the player must fend off but can see occasionally. Whilst in this vile pit the player would need to fight various horrid monsters, these could include ogres, goblins, orcs, dragons, hellhounds, demons, giant insects and skeleton warriors. In truth any creature from any and all myths and legends could find their way into this dungeon, there could even be a level with a sea monster which has been trapped underwater and now feeds on whatever adventurers it can catch. Perhaps each and every single one of these evil creatures were once hu...
For this Unity tutorial I followed on from the previous tutorial which was learning about how to make the player character jump. This tutorial is lesson 3.2 and is titled "Make The World whiz By." A very fitting title as for this task I had to work on making it seem as though the world of the game carried on forever. One of my first tasks in this tutorial was about making the background repeat. This was so that when the character is running that the background repeats itself so that to the player it seems as though the background (in this case a nature setting) goes on potentially forever. I also edited the game over screen. Now once the player bumps into an obstacle the game stops altogether. The player & the background simultaneously stop moving with a small "Game Over" screen in the corner. Source: Flickr For the final task in this tutorial I made sure that objects were destroyed when they are moved off-screen. I had already done this in a previous task so th...
Welcome to My Blog - Robbie Cahill B00132167 This is my first Test Blog for the second year of multimedia development Hello my name is Robbie Cahill this will be my blog for Multimedia Development in my second year of college in Creative Digital Media Course, at Blanchardstown college. I am very excited to begin this brand new year of college and have a wonderful experience with all my fellow students. But before beginning I would like to give a little introduction and share some information about myself. During secondary school I was very shy and quiet, I made it a point to keep to myself and never really interacted with any social or extracurricular activities in my school. I didn't get good results in tests and didn't have high hopes for my leaving cert. However once I got my leaving cert results I did far better than I ever thought I could, thanks to a combination of rigorous studying and grinds. After finally putting Secondary school behind me I had another conund...
